With the space cleared, our team constructed a new stud partition wall, which was tape-jointed and decorated to achieve a seamless finish. Acoustic insulation was added within the partition to improve sound performance, and ply strengthening was built in to allow for fixtures. A new FD30 fire-rated door was installed to meet safety requirements, and adjustments were made to the ceiling grid and electrical layout to suit the two-classroom configuration. Minor plumbing works were also carried out to complete the reconfiguration.

The refurbishment successfully turned a single outdated art room into two fully equipped teaching spaces. Each classroom is now safe, compliant, and designed to meet the everyday demands of a busy school environment. With a brighter appearance, improved layout and durable finishes, the spaces provide an inspiring environment for both staff and students. The project was completed with a full builder’s and sparkle clean, ensuring the rooms were handed back ready for use.
