CID Studyspace selected Venesta cubicles specifically manufactured at the appropriate height for young children, ensuring a balance of privacy and safety. In the boys’ washrooms, we installed durable urinal troughs, keeping functionality in line with the age-specific requirements.

CID Studyspace was engaged to deliver a complete school toilet block refurbishment for Southmead Primary School, transforming three sets of washrooms with vibrant new designs tailored for the youngest students. The project aimed to create child-friendly, functional, and visually engaging spaces, optimising for both safety and privacy. This initiative supports Southmead Primary's commitment to providing comfortable, well-designed facilities for its students.
Colourful and Age-Appropriate Design
Coordinated Vanity Units and Fixtures
Matching vanity units were installed in each colour-themed washroom, equipped with both wash troughs and traditional basins to accommodate different preferences and usage needs. Mirrors, handwash units, and all fixtures were fitted at child-appropriate heights, promoting ease of use and accessibility for every student. The comprehensive design allowed children to navigate the washrooms independently, enhancing their overall school experience.
Fun and Engaging Visual Elements
To create a positive and welcoming atmosphere, each cubicle door featured vibrant, bold graphics such as hot air balloons and dinosaurs, adding a playful touch. These visual elements were designed to help young students feel comfortable and familiar in their surroundings. The artwork was carefully selected to maintain a balance of fun and focus, integrating seamlessly with the washroom’s overall aesthetic.
Safety and Hygiene with High-Quality Flooring
Given the high likelihood of splashed water in a primary school environment, CID Studyspace installed safety vinyl flooring in each washroom. This choice of material ensures a slip-resistant, durable, and easy-to-clean surface, maintaining hygiene and safety over time. This thoughtful attention to flooring added a vital layer of security, safeguarding against slips while meeting stringent cleanliness standards.
