Portacabin Refurbishment

St Andrew’s Primary School | Surrey

Following a plumbing issue, CID Study Space were tasked with refurbishing a portacabin at St Andrew’s Primary School. The cabin is used as a changing area with storage space, WCs and showers. Water had leaked through both the floor and subfloor.

Replacing the damaged flooring

The first step was to remove the existing, damaged vinyl flooring. The school had experienced plumbing issues which had caused water damage across the space. Unfortunately, the water had also damaged the ply subfloor so this also had to be removed and replaced. New Altro safety vinyl was installed. We finished the floor with a capped and coved skirting detail.

Door installation

Part of this project was to install six new doors as well as building new frames and architraves. We also fitted new ironmongery onto the doors.

Refreshing the hygienic walls

Melamine faced boards had already been used on the walls. However, over time these had become marked and tired looking. Using industrial cleaners we were able to make the walls look as good as new. Avoiding a complete redecoration was a more cost effective solution.
